The Power of Rebounds Understanding the concept of rebounds in League of Legends is crucial for top laners. A rebound occurs when a player pushes a large minion wave into the enemy tower, causing the next wave to get stuck and resulting in an advantage for the pushing player. This knowledge is essential for trading, harassing, recalling, and roaming effectively.
"Stage One" - Green Player vs Red Player "Stage One" of a rebound happens when one player has pushed their wave closer to their tower than their opponent's wave. The green player (the one with the advantage) wants to prevent a reset by keeping pressure on their opponent and not allowing them to push back towards neutral territory. The red player (the one at a disadvantage) can either clear waves quickly or play passively until they have better positioning near their own tower.
"Stage Two" - Minion Advantage Matters In "stage two", both players remain as before but now there's also consideration given based on who has more minions built up during stage 1.The green player still holds an advantage due to having more minions which makes it difficult for opponents' champions trying fight against him/her while being overwhelmed by those extra units.During this stage, the red-player should avoid fighting against heavy-pushes since clearing all these additional creeps will be challenging. In contrast,a losing trade won't affect much if Darius loses because he already had many minions built up.He could just finish pushing his lane into Scion’s turret after taking that bad trade, and then recall without losing too many CS,since his big-wave would eventually bounce-back toward him once again
Stage Two: Punishing Bad Trades Darius punishes the opponent for taking bad trades in stage two by crashing the wave into their tower and denying them minions. This sets up a future advantage for Darius.
Stage Three: Tower Dive or Recall "Isn't Sion supposed to get punished here?" In stage three, if Sion is low on health, Darius can tower dive him and deny him waves of minions. But since Sion is healthy in this game, Darius should push the wave into the tower and recall to gain an item lead.
New Rebound Begins After completing stage three, a new rebound begins. The green player (Sion) plays defensively near his tower while the red player (Darius) decides whether to push or play passively.
