Intro
00:00:00Honda is currently the only manufacturer offering both a BS6 scooter and motorcycle. The Activa 125, which has already been tested, represents their scooter segment. Now introducing the SP 125, Honda's first BS6-compliant motorcycle.
Performance
00:00:22The last few months have seen many bikes with updates that result in less power, torque, and more weight. However, Honda's new SP 125 bucks this trend by offering more power and torque while being lighter than the CB Shine. This improvement is noticeable during rides as the bike exhibits strong bottom and mid-range performance ideal for city commuting. The engine refinement stands out with its smooth operation typical of Honda.
Styling
00:01:07Styling at 80 to 90 kph on the highway with minimal vibes Honda has managed a double whammy with the engine in addition to increased power and torque figures efficiency is also claimed to have increased by 16% over the CV shine SP wonder didn't just call it a day after reworking the engine they also went ahead and read it the styling on the SP one to five now it seems to have taken inspiration from some of under sporty or models like the Hornet you see these very sharp tank extensions and a neat looking LED headlight up front that is a segment first feature and overall, The SP features quite a sharp spotty look they've used these youthful colors for graphics as well this looks like premium product another area where you feel premiumness terms build quality switchgear absolutely top-notch fit finish levels really nice panel gaps tight all across definitely feels proper Honda redesigned various other bits wheels example but if we honest prefer design seen old CB shine sp successfully managed inject flair into this design won’t win many young hearts something spot you're looking pulsar
Features
00:02:35Once Wanda was gone, they restyled the SP and added several features. The most prominent is the LED headlight up front, a first in this segment. They also included a fully digital instrument cluster displaying gear position, real-time and average fuel efficiency, distance to empty—features not even found on more expensive Honda motorcycles like the CBR 150R. Additionally, an engine kill switch has been provided along with a silent start system using an ACG starter for a premium feel.
Ride Quality
00:03:27Ride quality on the SP one to five has seen significant changes, but its underpinnings remain consistent with the CB Shine SP. The bike exudes a beefy and muscular vibe, making it feel larger than its actual size. It offers a roomy riding position that locks legs nicely into tank recesses, suitable for urban commuting despite being slightly stiff with heavier riders or pillions. Maneuverability in tight city traffic is nimble and agile; however, steering becomes heavy at higher speeds while remaining planted. Braking power is adequate though the lever feels soft by design; rear drum brakes require strong pressure for effective braking.
Price
00:04:53The final aspect to consider about the SP1 2/5 is its price, which stands at seventy-seven thousand one hundred rupees. This makes it quite expensive for a 125cc bike and seven thousand rupees more than the CV Shine SP. However, Honda justifies this cost with new features like a digital instrument cluster and LED headlight. For those seeking a premium-feel commuter bike in the 125cc segment that offers rich features and good build quality without compromising on fuel efficiency, the Shine SP remains an attractive option.
