The Mallory family, who own Freedom Acres Ranch in Colorado, have faced harassment from locals and the Sheriff's Department. Despite seeking help from local police, their situation only got worse as they were charged for protecting themselves while the perpetrator was let go because of being white. The El Paso County Sheriff's office has not arrested anyone for the harassment experienced by them despite receiving more than 170 calls related to it over two years. CW Mallory was also falsely accused of felony stalking charges leading him to be detained for two days with a bond amount increased six times higher than usual due to allegations that he posed a threat to society which he denies.
