This guide demonstrates configuring time zone jobs in Control-M to run with today’s ODATE instead of tomorrow's. By default, Control-M uses Forward Ordering for time zone jobs, setting their order date one day ahead due to potential earlier execution needs relative to the server's local time. This behavior is controlled by the GD_FORWARD parameter in the config.dat file; changing its value from 'Y' (default) to 'N' disables this mechanism. After editing and saving this configuration file, a restart of Control-M/Server ensures changes take effect—resulting in both standard and timezone-specific jobs sharing today's ODATE.
