Courtney Wayne Mallory, also known as CW, has been facing racism for over two years while farming and ranching in East Colorado. He describes being harassed and chased when he is outside with his children due to the color of his skin.

CW settled in Colorado after a hurricane destroyed the Houston Ranch he was working on. He started Freedom Acres Ranch, but his family has endured frequent aggressive threats from the community since an individual claimed that the property belonged to them and threatened to shoot CW's dogs.

Despite the public attention and support, Mallory's family is still facing harassment from people in their community. They have experienced theft of utilities, dumping on their property, stalking, fighting and racism. Even when they contribute to the community positively they are criticized for it.
